Gold At MarCom Awards for Safety Services Nova Scotia Rebrand

Joel Arbuckle

I'm thrilled to announce that I've taken home the 2017 MarCom Gold award for his rebrand of Safety Services Nova Scotia in the Branding Refresh category. ‘Rebranding Safety Services Nova Scotia As The Region’s Industry Leader,’ as the project is titled, was a full redesign of the not-for-profit’s visual brand, as well as the company’s website and marketing collateral. I worked with Safety Services Nova Scotia in the summer of 2016 to undertake the entire rebrand project which was finalized and fully launched earlier this year. It’s incredible to have been recognized for excellence while competing against more than 6,500 entries from Canada, the United States and several other countries.

It’s a great feeling to be recognized for your work, especially when you know you’ve given it your all and the project ends in success. Competing with others from around the country and especially in the United States gives you something to strive for. If your goal is to build a creative agency that is world class, your work can never truly be done, but you’ll end up going further than you could have ever imagined.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals, organized and judged by the AMCP (Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals) based in Dallas, Texas.. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. The competition is so well respected in the industry that national public relations organizations, local ad clubs, and local business communicator chapters are entrants.
